Stellate Ganglion Block Care for Lovejoy Patients

A stellate ganglion block targets nerves near the lower neck and may help patients with certain pain patterns. The decision starts with a review of symptoms, medical history, prior care, and treatment goals.

This page serves people who want to understand how the procedure is performed and what must be checked first. A block isn't the right choice for every pain condition, so our physician weighs suitability before recommending it.

Patients from Lovejoy, Clayton County, and surrounding communities can request an assessment. The key decision is whether this targeted treatment fits the source and pattern of your pain.

  • Review the pain pattern, injury history, and prior treatments.
  • Discuss whether a targeted nerve block fits the clinical concern.
  • Confirm the planned guidance method and injection details.
  • Ask about follow-up care and other treatment options.

Tracy checked me in. Tony triaged me and Dr Scott took care of me. They made me feel welcome and comfortable from start to finish. I don't think I've ever had a doctor's visit this WONDERFUL! I barely felt a thing and as a person who is terribly afraid of needles, they took all my fears away and provided an excellent experience. Tony plays your favorite music during the procedure and it lasts about one song. I cannot say enough good things about this place!!!

Questions About Targeted Nerve Block Treatment

Prior to the appointment, how is a stellate ganglion block performed before final scope approval?

Ultrasound guidance helps Premier Injury Specialists guide needle placement toward the targeted nerves. The physician first reviews your symptoms and medical history, then explains the injection plan and local anesthetic. Fluoroscopy guidance and contrast dye may be considered when appropriate. You’ll have a chance to discuss concerns before treatment, including prior reactions, medicines, and other health conditions.

What should I confirm before agreeing to this injection?

Treatment suitability, the guidance method, and follow-up plan should be clear before you agree. Ask which symptoms the block is meant to address and what other options fit your condition. Confirm how local anesthetic will be used and whether contrast dye is part of the plan. Our physician answers these questions during the consultation.

Which medical records should I bring to the consultation?

Medical records, imaging reports, medication details, and prior treatment information help our physician assess the block. Bring records related to the injury or pain concern when available. A clear list of current medicines and past reactions also supports safer planning. Our team can explain which information matters for your assessment.

When might another treatment fit better for Stellate Ganglion Block?

Another treatment may fit better when your symptoms do not match the targeted nerves. Medication management, rehabilitation guidance, or another interventional treatment may be discussed after the assessment. The choice depends on your diagnosis, health history, and goals. A block should support the care plan, not replace a needed evaluation.

Why does the guidance method matter during treatment for Stellate Ganglion Block?

The guidance method helps the physician plan and monitor the needle path toward the intended treatment area. Ultrasound guidance, fluoroscopy guidance, or another approach may be considered based on the clinical plan. You should understand which method is proposed and why. Our physician explains that choice before treatment begins.

What changes the cost of the injection plan?

The treatment plan, guidance method, clinical assessment, and related care needs can change the cost. No single amount applies to every patient because the planned services differ. We review those details during a free consultation and explain the next steps. Ask which services are included before you agree to treatment.
