About

What headache care covers for your symptoms

Headache Treatment begins with a focused review of your symptoms, health history, injury history, and daily function. We look at when the pain starts, where it appears, and what makes it better or worse. Care may include medication management, physical rehabilitation guidance, injury-related pain care, or minimally invasive treatment when clinically appropriate. The right option depends on the findings and your treatment goals. Cost depends on the services your assessment shows you need. An evaluation, medication review, rehabilitation guidance, imaging referral, or interventional treatment may affect the total. We explain the recommended care and next steps before treatment begins. Our team believes headache care should follow the symptom pattern. Spending money on a treatment that does not fit the cause can waste time and delay a better plan.

Process

How we assess and plan headache care

1

Review the headache pattern

We ask about timing, location, triggers, severity, related symptoms, injury history, and the effect on sleep, work, and movement.

2

Check related pain and function

We examine how the headache connects with neck pain, nerve symptoms, joint pain, or other musculoskeletal concerns.

3

Discuss suitable treatment options

We explain medication management, rehabilitation guidance, injury-related care, and minimally invasive options when the findings support them.

4

Set the next care step

We outline the treatment plan, any needed referrals, and follow-up needs so you understand what happens next.

What to bring to a headache consultation

A few details can help us understand your headache pattern and plan the visit.

  • Bring a list of current medicines and supplements.
  • Write down when headaches start and how long they last.
  • Note related neck pain, nerve symptoms, or injury details.
  • Bring relevant medical records or prior imaging reports.
  • List the daily tasks, sleep, or work activities that pain affects.

Tracy checked me in. Tony triaged me and Dr Scott took care of me. They made me feel welcome and comfortable from start to finish. I don't think I've ever had a doctor's visit this WONDERFUL! I barely felt a thing and as a person who is terribly afraid of needles, they took all my fears away and provided an excellent experience. Tony plays your favorite music during the procedure and it lasts about one song. I cannot say enough good things about this place!!!

Questions about headache symptoms, care, and cost

Who provides headache treatment in Stockbridge?

Premier Injury Specialists provides headache treatment through a physician-led pain management practice. Our Pain Management Physician reviews headache patterns, injury history, related neck or nerve pain, and daily function. We then create an individualized treatment plan based on your condition and needs. Care may include medication management, rehabilitation guidance, injury-related pain care, or minimally invasive options when clinically appropriate.

What changes the cost of headache care?

The recommended services determine the cost of headache care. An evaluation, medication review, imaging referral, rehabilitation guidance, or interventional treatment may each affect the total. Your symptoms and clinical findings guide which services fit. We explain the recommended plan and what it includes during the consultation, so you can make an informed decision before treatment begins.

Can headaches after an auto accident be evaluated here?

Yes, we evaluate headache symptoms connected with auto accident injuries. The assessment reviews the accident history, headache pattern, neck pain, nerve symptoms, and effect on movement or daily tasks. Bring available medical records, accident documents, and imaging reports. Our team uses those details to plan injury-related care and identify useful next steps.

Can chronic headaches be treated without surgery?

Yes, chronic headaches may be treated with nonsurgical care when the clinical findings support it. Options may include medication management, physical rehabilitation guidance, injury-related pain care, and minimally invasive treatment. The right choice depends on your symptoms and condition. We discuss expected steps, possible trade-offs, and follow-up needs before proceeding.

How do I know if a headache needs urgent evaluation?

A sudden or severe headache, a headache after significant injury, or pain with new serious symptoms needs urgent medical evaluation. Headaches with weakness, confusion, fainting, vision changes, or trouble speaking require immediate attention. Our scheduled care can address ongoing or injury-related symptoms, but urgent warning signs should be handled through emergency medical services.

Do I need a referral before scheduling a visit?

A referral requirement depends on your health plan and the reason for care. Bring any referral, medical records, imaging reports, and medication list you already have. We can review the information during scheduling and explain what the consultation will cover. Patients may seek care for chronic pain or injury-related symptoms, including pain after auto accidents, workplace injuries, or sports injuries.

Can Botox help chronic tension headaches?

Botox may be considered for some headache conditions, but suitability requires a medical assessment. Headache type, frequency, related symptoms, prior treatments, and your health history all matter. Our team discusses appropriate options after reviewing those details. We don’t recommend an intervention from the headache label alone, because treatment must fit the clinical findings.

Scenarios

When Customers Call Us About Headache Treatment

1

Headaches After A Car Accident

Head pain after an auto accident can appear with neck stiffness or other injury symptoms. The key question is how the headache began and how it has changed since the crash. Bring accident records, current medicines, and any prior imaging to your consultation. We’ll review the injury history and discuss an individualized plan.

2

Recurring Pain During Workdays

Repeated headaches can make work and normal routines harder, especially when neck or back pain appears at the same time. A useful assessment tracks when symptoms start, what activities affect them, and which medicines you use. We’ll connect those details with your function and explain suitable care options.

3

Headaches With Neck Or Nerve Pain

Headaches with neck pain, tingling, or other nerve symptoms need a broader review than headache location alone. Your symptom pattern helps us decide whether related musculoskeletal pain belongs in the same plan. Bring prior records and describe changes in movement, sleep, and daily tasks during your visit.

Our Other Services

Knee Pain TreatmentKnee pain can interfere with stairs, walking, exercise, and work demands. A focused evaluation considers cartilage wear, arthritis, prior injury, and movement limits, then guides medication, therapy, or joint injection options.
Auto Accident Injury EvaluationAfter a crash, neck pain, back pain, or numbness can make daily tasks difficult. A clinical exam reviews collision injuries, range of motion, and nerve symptoms, then guides imaging referrals and treatment planning for a clearer recovery path.
Epidural Steroid InjectionsLeg or arm pain from an irritated spinal nerve can limit walking, lifting, or sleep. An epidural steroid injection places medication near the affected nerve root to calm inflammation and support movement during rehabilitation.
Facet Joint InjectionsArthritis in the small facet joints can cause painful, restricted neck or back movement. Facet joint injections deliver anesthetic and corticosteroid near the irritated joint, helping identify the pain source and improve everyday function.
Medial Branch BlocksBack or neck pain from facet joints may continue despite ordinary treatment. Medial branch blocks temporarily numb the nerves serving those joints, helping confirm the source and guide later radiofrequency ablation when appropriate.
Occipital Nerve BlocksPain at the back of the head can spread toward the scalp, eyes, or temples. An occipital nerve block targets irritated occipital nerves with local anesthetic and steroid, reducing headache symptoms and improving comfort.
