About

What migraine care covers and how it guides decisions

Migraine Treatment starts with a focused review of your symptoms, medical history, and current medicines. We look at how often pain occurs, what symptoms come with it, and how it affects work, sleep, movement, and daily life. The plan may include medication management, rehabilitation guidance, or a minimally invasive treatment when clinically appropriate. Migraine care doesn't promise one solution for every patient. The right path depends on your diagnosis, health history, current medicines, and response to prior care. Bring a list of medicines and a short record of symptom patterns when you can. These details help our physician connect the treatment choice to your actual needs instead of treating pain in isolation.

What Migraine Treatment Covers

Migraine Treatment is a medical service that evaluates recurring migraine symptoms and guides care to reduce disruption.

  • Migraine care differs from general injury care because it focuses on headache patterns, triggers, medicines, and related symptoms.
  • Patients from Stockbridge and nearby Henry County communities can request this service through our local pain management practice.

What to prepare before migraine care

A few simple records can help us understand your symptoms and plan the visit.

  • Current medicine list: Bring the names of medicines, supplements, and pain relievers you use.
  • Symptom pattern: Note when pain starts, how long it lasts, and which symptoms appear with it.
  • Past treatment details: Write down treatments that helped, caused problems, or made little difference.
  • Daily impact: Describe missed work, sleep changes, movement limits, or other effects on daily life.

Tracy checked me in. Tony triaged me and Dr Scott took care of me. They made me feel welcome and comfortable from start to finish. I don't think I've ever had a doctor's visit this WONDERFUL! I barely felt a thing and as a person who is terribly afraid of needles, they took all my fears away and provided an excellent experience. Tony plays your favorite music during the procedure and it lasts about one song. I cannot say enough good things about this place!!!

Questions about migraine care and treatment choices

Who provides migraine care at Premier Injury Specialists?

Premier Injury Specialists provides migraine care through a physician-led pain management practice. The visit includes a review of symptoms, medical history, current medicines, and daily impact. Our physician then discusses treatment options that fit the patient’s condition. Care may include medication management, rehabilitation guidance, or minimally invasive treatment when clinically appropriate.

What is the most successful treatment for migraines?

The most suitable migraine treatment depends on the patient’s symptoms, history, current medicines, and response to past care. No single option fits every person. Our physician reviews those factors before discussing medication management, rehabilitation guidance, or minimally invasive care. Results vary, so follow-up helps assess whether the plan remains appropriate.

What should I bring to my first migraine appointment?

A current medicine list and symptom history give our physician useful starting information. Bring these items if available:

  • Medicine and supplement names
  • Dates and patterns of migraine symptoms
  • Past treatment details
  • Notes about sleep, work, movement, or other daily effects

Patients from Stockbridge can also bring related injury or treatment records when head pain follows an accident.

How much does migraine care cost?

The cost depends on the assessment, treatment plan, medication review, and any clinically appropriate follow-up. We discuss the care needed during the consultation and provide upfront pricing information before treatment decisions. Free consultations are available, so patients can raise cost questions while discussing their symptoms and options.

Is migraine treatment risky?

Every medical treatment has possible risks, and the risks depend on the chosen approach and your health history. Our physician reviews suitability before recommending medication management or minimally invasive care. Tell us about allergies, current medicines, past reactions, and other health concerns so we can discuss safer next steps.

Should I see a pain management physician or another doctor for migraines?

A pain management physician can assess recurring migraine pain and discuss medication or interventional options. Other medical specialists may be involved when symptoms suggest a different condition or added care is needed. Our team reviews the history first and coordinates care across qualified physicians and clinical professionals when appropriate.

When does a migraine need urgent medical attention?

A sudden severe headache, new weakness, confusion, fainting, or sudden vision loss needs urgent medical attention. Those signs can point to a serious problem beyond a familiar migraine pattern. For recurring symptoms without those warning signs, schedule a medical assessment so our physician can review the pattern and treatment history.

Key Points About Migraine Treatment

  • Migraine care begins with symptom patterns, medical history, and current medicine review.
  • Treatment choices depend on your condition, needs, and response to past care.
  • Rehabilitation guidance may support movement and daily function when appropriate.
  • Minimally invasive treatment is considered only when clinically appropriate.
  • Sudden severe headache or new neurological symptoms require urgent medical attention.

Scenarios

When Customers Call Us About Migraine Treatment

1

Recurring Pain Disrupts Workdays

Repeated migraine attacks can make work, sleep, and family tasks harder to manage. The key detail is the pattern, including when pain starts and which symptoms follow. Bring your medicine list and recent symptom notes to a consultation so our physician can review the full picture and discuss suitable treatment options.

2

Unclear Symptoms Need Review

Head pain with nausea, light sensitivity, or changes in vision can leave you unsure which care fits. A careful history helps separate migraine features from other pain concerns. Write down the symptoms that appear together, then request an assessment so we can explain the next steps in plain language.

3

Pain Care After An Injury

Some patients seek care after an auto accident, workplace injury, or sports injury and also report recurring head pain. The visit should address both the injury history and the migraine pattern. Bring accident or treatment records you have, and tell us how symptoms affect movement, sleep, and daily tasks.

Our Other Services

Knee Pain TreatmentKnee pain can interfere with stairs, walking, exercise, and work demands. A focused evaluation considers cartilage wear, arthritis, prior injury, and movement limits, then guides medication, therapy, or joint injection options.
Auto Accident Injury EvaluationAfter a crash, neck pain, back pain, or numbness can make daily tasks difficult. A clinical exam reviews collision injuries, range of motion, and nerve symptoms, then guides imaging referrals and treatment planning for a clearer recovery path.
Epidural Steroid InjectionsLeg or arm pain from an irritated spinal nerve can limit walking, lifting, or sleep. An epidural steroid injection places medication near the affected nerve root to calm inflammation and support movement during rehabilitation.
Facet Joint InjectionsArthritis in the small facet joints can cause painful, restricted neck or back movement. Facet joint injections deliver anesthetic and corticosteroid near the irritated joint, helping identify the pain source and improve everyday function.
Medial Branch BlocksBack or neck pain from facet joints may continue despite ordinary treatment. Medial branch blocks temporarily numb the nerves serving those joints, helping confirm the source and guide later radiofrequency ablation when appropriate.
Occipital Nerve BlocksPain at the back of the head can spread toward the scalp, eyes, or temples. An occipital nerve block targets irritated occipital nerves with local anesthetic and steroid, reducing headache symptoms and improving comfort.
